Zambia has been slapped with an "aid conditionality" particularly involving HIV/AIDS funding by the United States.
The case begun as the US failed to negotiate a deal and reach a memorandum of understanding ( MoU) with the Zambian government that favors it's "America first" foreign policy. Clearly speaking, this came due to Zambia's revised policy on mining rights which were adjusted to make sure the country benefits from all mining activities taking place.
The US specifically tied four major prerequisites before the so called "financial aid" is given and these being 1. mineral access 2.share citizen's health data with the US for upto 25 years 3. US requires Zambia to increase its domestic health spending hence co-finance it and 4. US demands Zambia must immediately share data on new pathogens within Zambia.
What we see in these requirements by the US is so much in the form of bullying the kind which is common when a superpower country is dealing with one considered a "third world country."
It's exactly the same kind we've witnessed in South Africa, Tanzania, Cameroon, Zimbabwe, in Iran, in the outsitting of Venezuela's Maduro. The trend is so old as in early years when Africa's nation's were cutting off the grip of colonialism to stand sovereign. At least all curious individuals know what went down in Ghana shortly after independence while Nkrumah was away in China, they know what went on after Patrice Lumumba took over DRC from Belgium and the rest is easy to see.
The matrix is at play and makes sure everybody dances to it's tune even when the music is not appetizing, even when they don't want jazz but desire reggae or rhumba that is more familiar to their ears, to their feet and waists because they grew up dancing to it as their forefathers did.
So they bend the will and force models on the lesses nations, they apply force as if saying "my will shall be your will," they apply all the necessary force even to the point of breakage and they care less. So you see wars faught in the name of democracy, faught in the names of liberty, they take their young men in Vietnam, in Cuba, in Japan, in Germany and everywhere where their appetites lead them, places where they feel they will be satisfied, where they eat from the table and leave the owners to feed on what falls from the table if at all it does fall.
They set up systems to defend the matrix, paradigms to support the matrix and that's how you have the sorts and likes of NATO, the likes of UN, the likes of IMF, the World Bank and excetra. They are the dogs and wattles to turn us around.
The matrix enables them to watch over from everywhere, it sets them on a watch tower so they can paranomically view and see those who attempt to break out from the matrix. There's a beautiful movie titled "Free Guy." Guy is born in the matrix and later on discovers something fishy and boring about his life, so he begins to explore and behave differently from his class in the movie, he attempts to ask different menus and the first people to realize this are his daily friends who at an instant wonder at his behavior and then the ones who set the matrix later on chase after him for compliance!
I definitely don't intend to take you to a cinema but it brings the idea home. The paradigm set in the matrix is beyond structure or policy, it's beyond political and economic models, it's mental wiring where third world countries will have all the resources but can't get together to protect their interest, they can't play rhumba and shake their waists and drink local brews. They can't forge alliances by way of intermarriages like our ancestors did. They have suddenly developed appetite for coke and sprite and are willing to buy it at a higher price while telling the shopkeeper to keep change.
You will do well to zoom in on Africa, almost all regions in Africa have oil deposits but are still affected by the oil price shifts that result from the war in middle east that was not really supposed to be there in my opinion. Countries are almost fearing to join BRICS because of isolation, because they'll be picked on and their allies won't really respond effectively compared to the force with which the owners of the matrix strike.
And so beating the matrix requires rewiring of the minds and lots of sacrifice, it requires turning away from sodas and appreciating the local brews and delicacies, it requires Ubuntu it requires intermarriage of African birthed ideas, it requires one to shout from Cape town all the way to Kinshasa in a familiar language, it requires one to shout from Kinshasa to Addis Ababa and one from Addis to Lagos and reach even the man standing on the pyramids in the very language shouted by the very first person in Cape town.

Yes it's a good idea but however. Its hard for Africa to unite due to religion, selective priorities and greed of power
