This Mess I Made

Lumuuno Kabanda

Written by

Lumuuno Kabanda

I sold my soul to the devil in exchange for power, he shook my hand a sign for a sealed deal, he promised power and said it was real, his hand gripped mine as if my soul trying to steal.

I now hear his laugh from the shadows, I hear the whispers of the mess I caused. Peace I can't find, sleep is always gone, am now powerful yet so broken and cold, in a castle yet forever in a maze.

Am always hunted and haunted, echoes of power not earned but given, I shudder and stumble as the voices murmur, he owns my soul and whispers that's my fate.

The devil whispers from nowhere and only I can hear, like shadows that chase even in winding roads, am lost in the dark, I can't find my way, every way I know leads to him.

I beg for forgiveness, I pray holding my cross but there's no reply, I wield this power all but for show, deep inside I've nowhere to go, am filled with a life of darkness, forever to bare this nightmare.
